Customer Service Representative (Contract)

Please note this is a contract role until April 2020.

Position

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be answering incoming calls from customers who are experiencing technical problems with their solar systems and other issues such as roof leaks, snow removal, critter damage etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop an open and effective channel of communication with each client that can be employed by other departments as well
  • Maintain a database of standard customer complaints in CRM
  • Develop scripts and processes to deal with standard customer complaints
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers, demonstrating care, empathy and urgency
  • Take action and be resolution oriented to solve customer issues
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of complaints resolution
  • Work with key business groups such as Asset Management, O&M, Project Management and Legal to identify customer excellence and bring to light customer feedback and effectiveness
  • Research and promote industry-leading practices to create outstanding customer relations


Required Skills

We are looking for an individual who has the following experience, and knowledge:


  • 3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment
  • 2 years’ experience in technical customer service preferred
  • College diploma or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
  • Experience in the telecom, utility, airline, insurance or HVAC industries
  • Passion for technology
  • Ability to work independently with sole responsibility for deliverables
  • The intermediate-level user of Excel and Word
  • Solar or sustainable renewable industry experience an asset
  • Customer/Client Focus
